Hand in hand with the pleasant cool weather, Tagaytay has a handful of equally pleasant tourist attractions around the city. Getting around Tagaytay is easy as most points of interest are accessible by a single main road, which is the Aguinaldo Highway.

The best option to get around Tagaytay is to bring a car or rent one for private use. Nothing beats traveling on your own pace while seated comfortably in your own vehicle when exploring all there is to see in Tagaytay.

Jeepneys are still a good option to getting around Tagaytay on land and are also an affordable alternative that will only cost 8 pesos per person. It is important to know which jeepney to take when getting to a target destination. Jeepney signages that display People’s Park in the Sky found at the Olivarez Plaza near the Tagaytay Rotunda will take you to People’s Park in the Sky, the Picnic Grove, Tagaytay Public Market, Rowena’s Café, Good Shepherd Convent, Tagaytay Econo Inn, Royal Taal Inn, Aroma Apartelle, Keni Po Rooms, Aroma Rooms, 5R Rooms for Rent, T House, the Japanese Garden, Tagaytay Gymnasium and the Development Academy of the Philippines.

Jeepneys with signboards that say Nasugbu or Mendez will take you to the Mendez Junction, Mahogany Market, Casino Filipino, Antonio’s Restaurant, Sonya’s Garden, Bag of Beans, Josephine’s Restaurant, Pamana Restaurant, RSM Lutong Bahay Restaurant, Mushroom Burger, Caleruega Church, The Summit Ridge Hotel, Taal Vista Hotel, Residence Inn, Bali Village Hotel, Ever Crest Hotel, Mijo Hotel, Royal Parc Hotel, Robert’s Inn, Racho Ferva Lodge, Tagaytay Convention Center, the Tagaytay City Hall and Splendito Taal Golf and Country Club. It will also take you to Magallanes Square where Figaro, Starbucks, Leslie’s Max’s, Café Lupe, LZM Lutong Bahay, Kitaro and the Magallanes Square Hotel can be found. Know that some of these establishments may require a tricycle ride to get there as well.

For those who want to catch a boat ride to get to the Taal Volcano Island, ride a jeepney bound for Talisay which can be found at the corner of Aguinaldo Highway and Ligaya Drive. If you see the Tagaytay Elementary School, it means you’re in the right place to catch the jeepney to Talisay.

Tricycles may also be used to take passengers into the side streets of the sloping Tagaytay hills that cannot be reached by the fixed routes of jeepneys. Know that tricycles usually charge much higher fares than public utility jeepneys do so be forewarned when riding one.

When it comes to public transportation, buses, tricycles and jeepneys may be your only options as taxis are not available around Tagaytay City. Some rather private and more exclusive establishments that offer spa treatments, massages and garden fresh cuisines are usually off the main road and cannot be accessed by jeepneys or tricycles.

Depending on what you came to the cool city for, getting around Tagaytay is practically easy as almost all main attractions can be accessed via the main road. With such practicality to get around the city, this makes any Tagaytay trip a hassle-free and enjoyable experience.
